Job Description
- Assist in drafting, editing, and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Help design basic graphics and visuals using tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
- Support the creation of short videos, reels, and animations for campaigns or storytelling.
- Monitor daily activity on social media and assist in community engagement (comments, DMs, tags).
- Contribute ideas for social media campaigns, awareness days, and online challenges.
- Help update content on the organization’s website and blog.
- Assist in preparing and sending out newsletters via platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Track and report on digital performance (likes, shares, reach, clicks) using tools like Meta Insights or Google Analytics.
- Suggest improvements based on trends and data analysis.
- Participate in weekly communications meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Assist in maintaining content calendars and asset libraries.
- Support other communication-related tasks as needed campaigns.
- Perform other related tasks.
Requirements
- Recent Graduate of Communications, Journalism, Gender Studies, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal, with the ability to create clear, engaging content.
- Familiarity with platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn; basic design or editing tools (e.g., Canva) are a plus.
- Demonstrated passion for gender equality, women’s rights, and social justice.
- Able to manage time, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team.
- Eager to learn, contribute, and support the team’s mission.
