D-Nine Finishes, a drywall, framing, acoustic, flooring, and remodeling company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Title: Construction Estimator

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos, Oyo & Rivers

Job Description

• We have the privilege of working on some of the most fascinating and challenging projects in the United States.
• We are seeking pre-construction estimators for commercial flooring, drywall, countertops, HVAC, plumbing, and other building construction trades.
• Estimators will work remotely on architectural plans for multifamily apartment complexes, townhomes, single-family development neighborhoods, churches, schools, restaurants, gyms, retail stores, office buildings, and other commercial construction projects

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for estimating and gather necessary information such as plans, bidding manuals, specifications, addenda, revisions to jobs in progress, etc
• Research material requirements to include all finish goods, trims, accessories, installation methods, etc
• Perform take-offs and prepare complete bid packages using estimating and bidding software
• Work with product suppliers to obtain pricing and complete project bids for review and submission
• Communicate with internal and external sources and be ready to work flexible hours to ensure project deadlines are met
• Work closely with the Estimating Director and Pre-Construction VP to communicate challenges and collaborate on solutions
• Have a strong understanding of construction plans, materials, methods, and labor costs.
• Build relationships with clients, work independently, and be part of a strong internal team.

Education and Experience

• Engineering, Mathematics, Architecture Degree or similar
• 0 – 3 years of work experience (Current undergraduates encouraged to apply)
• Previous commercial construction experience is valuable but not required ⁠
• Speaks fluent English
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and others
• Intermediate to advanced math skills
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) estimating, PlanSwift, or CAD software.

Compensation
