Job Purpose

  • As the Area Sales Manager, your role will be critical in supporting the sales team and contributing to the achievement of sales targets and objectives within your region. This includes managing sales operations, developing effective sales strategies, and building strong relationships with customers to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets and business objectives within the assigned area.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to optimize performance and drive results.
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitoring progress and performance against targets and providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Report product inventory in the stores within the territory
  • Train new sales representatives, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and resources to succeed in their roles.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions with the sales team to provide updates, share best practices, and address challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, fostering trust, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base, increase market share, and drive revenue growth within the area.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to track progress against targets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
  • Ensure effective sales pipeline management, lead generation, and conversion activities to maximize sales opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives, timely delivery of products/services, and resolution of customer issues.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products/services, generate leads, and enhance brand visibility within the area.
  • Uphold the company’s values and ethical standards in all interactions, maintaining professionalism, integrity, and a positive brand image.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, DVM, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in a relevant industry or sector.
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, achieving targets, and building strong customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
