Job Description
As a Patient Services Coordinator, your role will be crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for patients. Your responsibilities include:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing general assistance.
- Maintain open and empathetic communication with patients to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed effectively.
- Efficiently schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and furnish patients with relevant information.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries, insurance claims, and payment processing, collaborating with the billing department to resolve any discrepancies.
- Address and resolve patient concerns, complaints, or issues promptly, and escalate complex cases professionally to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Uphold strict confidentiality of patient records while adhering to data privacy and security regulations.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and other staff members to ensure a coordinated patient experience.
- Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Job Requirements
To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a B.Sc., HND, or BA degree.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and healthcare management software.
- Display empathy and a patient-centered approach.
- Exhibit strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism
