Job Description

• The role of the Database Administrator entails the day-to-day management and upkeep of databases.

The Database Administrator is responsible for a range of technical tasks, including:

• Creating and maintaining databases for Production, Disaster Recovery, development, and testing purposes.
• Ongoing database tuning to optimize performance.
• Planning and executing database backup and recovery procedures.
• Establishing and managing online data replication from Production to the DR environment.
• Monitoring and advising on licensing matters to ensure compliance with Oracle License agreements.
• Proactively monitoring Production Databases across various platforms.
• Collaborating with system administrators for capacity planning and database maintenance.
• Executing failover procedures for disaster recovery as needed.
• Ensuring adequate space availability to accommodate database growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar or related role.
• Professional certification in OCP and ITIL v3 required.
