Overview

  • As a Digital Sales Associate for Stephens Cakes & Pastries, you’ll play a vital role in driving sales initiatives on our digital platforms.
  • Since we are an online order-only store, this position is critical to ensuring a seamless and engaging digital experience for our customers.
  • You’ll also have a hand in maintaining our social media presence, creatively engaging audiences, and turning engagement into sales.
  • Additionally, you’ll handle clerical responsibilities to keep our sales and order management systems organized and efficient.
  • This is a role for someone who thrives in the digital space, is sales-driven and has a passion for cakes, pastries & desserts.

What Does the Role Entail?
Sales & Engagement:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive online sales.
  • Monitor and optimize digital sales performance through analytics and data.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to launch campaigns promoting seasonal and speciality products.
  • Act as a first point of contact for online customers, ensuring queries are handled promptly.
  • Gather customer feedback to enhance their experience and inform sales strategies.

Social Media Overlap:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to post engaging social media content highlighting our products, promotions, and customer experiences.
  • Interact with followers and respond to inquiries, directing leads toward conversions.

Clerical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a detailed sales register to track completed transactions.
  • Log future orders for cakes and events in the order management software to ensure seamless scheduling and fulfilment.
  • Assist in generating sales reports to provide insights to the management team.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Creative Marketing Associate to align sales and content strategies.
  • Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure timely order fulfilment and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 1-2 years of experience in digital sales, e-commerce, or social media marketing.
  • Strong understanding of digital sales funnels and online marketing strategies.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, e-commerce platforms, and basic analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
  • Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva (preferred).

  • Results-oriented, with a drive to exceed targets.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn.
  • Prior experience in a related vertical is an added advantage.
