Job Title: Early Years Teacher/Assistant Teacher

Location: Ayetoro Gbede, Kogi

Job Description

  • As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an engaging, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. You will create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • Collaboration lies at the heart of this role. You will work closely with fellow teachers, parents, and the school’s administration to ensure each pupil receives the highest quality education, helping them unlock their potential and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Alternatively, a degree in other fields with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Education
  • Or, a National Certificate in Education (NCE) with a minimum of 3 years of experience

Professional Experience:

  • At least two (2) years of experience as an Early Years Teacher
  • Experience with Jolly Phonics is an advantage
  • Experience in developing eLearning resources is an advantage

Certifications:

  • TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is an added advantage

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories, practices, and teaching techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic proficiency with computing devices such as computers, scanners, and printe
