1). Treasury Officer

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos.

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

  • Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to fill the role of Treasury Officer, who will be responsible for supporting the Treasury department in ensuring that banking operations & reports relating to the trade, staff, NBS & Nestle Treasury Centre are promptly and effectively achieved within agreed timelines and in compliance with local financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
Bank Charges and NFC:

  • Perform daily check on bank charges and net finance cost, create visibility on evolution, identify opportunities for optimization and take necessary actions.
  • Track the lifecycle of all Letters of credit, identify opportunities for financing cost optimization and control.
  • Prepare the Import Finance Facility Report to give visibility on trade loan exposure and limit by bank.

Banking Relationship with Respect to Facility:

  • Manage bank facilities in line with business needs and at the least cost possible.
  • Benchmark the total business of Nestlé Nigeria across the banks and trigger constructive engagement to reduce cost
  • Supervise all kinds of bank guarantees

Balance Sheet – Integrity:

  • Enhance Balance Sheet integrity by ensuring no aged items in Bank Reconciliation
  • Perform reconciliation of forward contracts with GL, and trigger relevant actions

Cash Management:

  • Support cash management by maintaining accurate and timely Daily Cash Forecast to meet business needs
  • Provide 3 months rolling cash forecast for working capital management.
  • Manage petty cash replenishment, disbursement, reconciliation and report.

PEC for Treasury and Reporting:

  • Review Treasury Report to ensure alignment with banks’ report and SAP
  • Maintain an activity calendar for Period End Closing and lead the process
  • Prepare material allocation for exchange difference arising from FX purchase

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc. / HND in Accounting or Banking and Finance.
  • Professional Certification i.e. ACA, ACCA or CIMA is mandatory.

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Assertiveness in communication: Ability to articulate the value added by finance and their specific role within the organization
  • Interpersonal relationship skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships across different teams and departments

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ post NYSC experience in Treasury Operations.
  • Preferred banking experience: Sales of treasury products such as fixed deposits, bonds, foreign exchange, and trade operations
  • Treasury accounting: Proficiency in preparing cash flow statements, liquidity management, and managing facility agreements with banks
  • Experience in other roles within or outside the finance function, such as supply chain management (SCM) or sales, would be advantageous
  • Previous achievement: Demonstrated track record of successful projects and proactive identification of opportunities

2). Production Supervisor

Location: Agbara Factory, Ogun
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

  • Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking for a Production Supervisor will supervise and monitor autonomous maintenance on the production line under his responsibility to meet up with Safety, Quality, and output requirements through a strict follow up of the laid down procedure.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of the Production Supervisor:

  • Ensure that all issues relating to safety in his area of work and within the factory are given priority, escalate and follow up on their resolution if he needs a support.
  • Maintain Food Safety awareness and its relevance to ensure strict Compliance in the workplace. Act as back up for the line supervisor when requested.
  • Responsible for performing all hygiene/cleaning operations in production floor areas like replacement of old/worn-out cleaning tools/equipment.
  • Responsible to achieve the required quantity of products with a good quality and quantity (net content, wrapping, e.tc.) according to standard specification.
  • 5.Perform the inventory of his shift and report it to his supervisor on a shifty basis.
  • Must ensure that proper shift handover is done according to the Nestle Continuous Excellence standard.
  • Act as an End User in the shift, to ensure that all transactions are properly captured in SAP. Serve as relief for line technician during break.
  • Fill professionally the production report and other related documents as required.
  • To supervise autonomous maintenance, CIL of assets under his control.
  • Adequate usage of material according to BOM (Bill of Material).

Requirements
What Will Make You Successful?

  • HND, B.Sc. in Food Science/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a Manufacturing company. Minimum of 2 years proven experience with strong character as a line technician in the plant of interest.
  • Good attitude to work and ability to interact and communicate with people.
  • Demonstration of technical ability by pro-actively confronting machine malfunctions.
  • Understanding of factory organization and accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Understanding of HR procedures and practices and their application e.g., grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Understanding of Standard Operating Procedure, Cleaning Procedure, Operational Module for the Machine under his responsibility.
  • Understanding of skills knowledge and behavioral requirements of positions under their responsibility (e.g., functional, hygiene, safety, technical, etc.)
  • Understanding of when action must be taken to minimize risks to people, products, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing instructions and quality standards
  • Functional understanding of all equipment.
  • Ability to carry out basic troubleshooting on the line.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
