Job Title: Front Office Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations:

  • Supervise and manage daily front desk operations.
  • Ensure seamless check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Oversee guest registration, room assignment, and billing.

Guest Service & Satisfaction:

  • Maintain high service standards and resolve guest complaints.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements.
  • Provide personalized service and VIP guest handling.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise front office staff (receptionists, concierge, bellboys).
  • Create shift schedules and conduct staff performance appraisals.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and teamwork.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

  • Monitor front office budget, revenues, and expenses.
  • Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and night audit reviews.
  • Maintain records, reports, and department statistics.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments for guest needs.
  • Coordinate group bookings, VIP arrivals, and special requests.
  • Ensure smooth internal communication and shift handovers.

Standards, Compliance & Training:

  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies, SOPs, and service standards.
  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct regular staff training and service audits.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • The candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 5 – 10 years work experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds)
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities
