Job Title: Gallery Assistant
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Gallery Assistant at Windsor Gallery will support daily operations, assist with exhibitions, and provide excellent customer service to gallery visitors.
- This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, from managing the gallery’s schedule to assisting in sales and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, providing information about exhibitions and artists.
- Handle sales transactions and maintain accurate sales records.
- Assist with the planning, setup, and breakdown of exhibitions and events.
- Manage gallery inventory and ensure artwork is properly cataloged.
- Update and maintain the gallery’s website and social media platforms.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence.
- Support the Gallery Director with various tasks as needed.
Experience Requirements
- Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees with 2 – 3 years relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in a gallery or arts-related environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for contemporary art and a desire to learn more about the industry.
