About the Role
- We are seeking a talented and driven GTM Marketing Manager with expertise in Customer Acquisition and a deep understanding of the US market, particularly its regional nuances within African immigrant communities. This role is crucial in driving awareness, engagement, and adoption of our remittance product among African immigrants across various US regions. The ideal candidate will utilise their local knowledge to develop targeted strategies that resonate with and effectively reach this audience. We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive sales to support our company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential customers who can benefit from Sendsprint’s services. Utilize various prospecting techniques, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Build Strong Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in targeted industry verticals. Understand their pain points, present Sendsprint’s value proposition, and work collaboratively to develop tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to acquire new customers within specific industry verticals. Create compelling presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral to showcase the benefits of Sendsprint. Conduct engaging product demonstrations and negotiate contracts to close deals successfully.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, and customer service to ensure alignment with customer needs and market demands. Provide valuable insights and feedback to support the continuous improvement of Sendsprint’s offering.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a demonstrated track record of success in generating revenue from new business customers within specific industry verticals.
Skills:
- Proven track record of achieving tangible results in a professional setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential customers, build relationships, and convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets. Proven ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
- A deep understanding of specific industry verticals, including their pain points, challenges, and trends. Familiarity with the remittance industry or financial technology (fintech) is advantageous.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working remotely
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- A deep understanding and respect for cultural nuances and sensitivities within African immigrant communities, enhancing our ability to connect
- Experience in marketing or promoting remittance services or products, particularly targeting immigrant populations.
- Established connections with community leaders, organizations, or influencers within African immigrant communities, facilitating quicker engagement and adoption.
- You’ve helped structure and operationalize the sales function at a startup and care a lot about shaping (and working in) a high-impact, collaborative organization.
- Experience working with B2B remittance products or related financial services.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, track campaign performance effectively, and optimise strategies for maximum impact.
- An open mindset, as the company is growing you will need to be flexible and willing to go above and beyond.
Salary
- NGN N1,500,000 – N2,500,000 per month.
