Job Summary
- We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with strong writing skills to join our editorial team. In this role, you will be responsible for covering the banking, finance, and investment sectors, producing high-quality reports, breaking news stories, and in-depth features.
- The ideal candidate will excel in conducting interviews with industry leaders, attending key financial events, and delivering insightful, well-researched content that informs and engages our audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive coverage of the banking, finance, and investment industry through breaking news, feature stories, and investigative reports.
- Monitor and report on activities from financial regulatory bodies, such as CBN, DMO, and others.
- Attend meetings, press briefings, and events, representing the company professionally.
- Conduct regular interviews with corporate executives, government officials, and other industry leaders to create feature stories and corporate profiles.
- Research and compare banks and corporations, generating rankings and product reviews.
- Build and maintain a strong network of connections within the financial sector.
- Generate detailed reports summarizing business, financial, and economic data for executive, managerial, and stakeholder review.
- Analyze business intelligence and market trends to provide recommendations and insights.
- Act as the company’s eyes and ears in the financial industry, delivering timely and accurate reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 5 years work experience.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, journalism, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and the banking sector.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools is an advantage.
