Job Title: Head of Finance Operations

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the opening and onboarding of local and international bank accounts across jurisdictions with speed and persistence.
- Manage relationships with banking partners and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements.
- Monitor all inflows/outflows across bank accounts and payment rails to ensure timely merchant settlements and currency availability.
- Design and implement robust, scalable finance operations processes, including merchant settlement processes, trade bookings, reconciliations, and cash management controls.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce manual errors and operational risks.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow movements and FX positions.
- Support the treasury function in executing trades and managing liquidity needs for cross-border payments.
- Oversee bank, PSP, and wallet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of breaks.
- Coordinate with the finance team on reporting requirements, including daily cash position reports, merchant settlement trackers, and FX utilisation logs.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech to automate key operational processes.
- Manage and grow the finance operations team as required.
Person Specification
- Proven experience (5+ years) in finance operations, treasury, or payments within a fintech or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments, banking operations, and FX flows.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to push through bottlenecks, follow up diligently, and drive action.
- Strong attention to detail with a process-improvement mindset.
- Working knowledge of reconciliation tools, treasury management, and ERP systems is a plus.
- Resilient, solutions-driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a high-growth environment.
