We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Programs and Grants

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job type: Full time

Role Purpose

  • As the Head of Programs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective design, implementation, and evaluation of our programs aimed at keeping children and women safe.
  • Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will oversee all programmatic activities, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead program design, implementation and evaluation
  • Provide leadership and maintain high capacity and highly motivated program team.
  • Support capacity building for program teams.
  • Support strategic planning and coordination.
  • Support resource mobilization.
  • Support advocacy and external engagements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of development and humanitarian aid management experience.
  • Extensive experience in program management in the humanitarian or development sector, with a strong track record of successful program design and delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading complex multi-sectorial emergency response and development programs.
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that achieve sustainable impact.
  • Experience in proposal development and resource mobilization, with a successful track record of securing funding.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in developing and utilizing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate experience managing a team.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; knowledge of relevant local languages is an asset.
