About the Role

- We’re searching for a Head of Sales to lead our talented team of Account Executives and spearhead growth initiatives in the Nigerian Market
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve transaction volume targets and revenue goals.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities for market penetration and growth.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence within the sales organisation.
Transaction Volume Growth:
- Prioritize driving transaction volumes across personal and business accounts.
- Develop partnerships and collaborations to expand transaction pipelines.
Key Account Management:
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with key accounts and partners.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling financial products and services.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Use insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Sales operations and reporting:
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to meet KPIs.
- Provide accurate forecasts, reports, and updates to executive leadership.
Product Collaboration:
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to align offerings with customer needs.
- Provide feedback on market demand and customer preferences to guide product development.
Regulatory and Compliance Awareness:
- Ensure all sales activities align with financial sector regulations and compliance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- At least 7+ years of leadership experience in sales within the financial sector, fintech, or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, particularly in driving transaction volumes.
- Deep understanding of financial products and services, including multi-currency accounts, credit, and digital banking solutions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building and scaling sales teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven decision-making with expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM tools.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
