Job Title: HR & Admin Assistant

Location: Emene, Enugu

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The HR & Admin Assistant will provide support in the day-to-day HR and administrative operations of the company.
  • This includes support in recruitment, staff records management, employee welfare, payroll documentation, general office administration, and compliance with HR policies and farm regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment activities such as job postings, screening CVs, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records including attendance, leave, and personnel files.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new hires.
  • Monitor and record daily attendance, overtime, and absenteeism.
  • Assist in preparing HR documentation (employment letters, memos, warnings, promotions, etc.).
  • Assist in organizing staff training and performance appraisal processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational data.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, and company events.
  • Maintain proper filing systems for both electronic and paper documents.
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and local authorities when needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation of utility usage, licenses, and regulatory permits.
  • Support farm operations by handling administrative support requests from departments.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and ensuring adherence to company rules.
  • Participate in internal audits or reviews of HR and administrative processes.
  • Support occupational health and safety compliance within the farm premises.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR and administrative roles, preferably in an agricultural or production setting.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
  • Experience in a poultry or livestock/agro-industry is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of payroll and HR software.
  • Familiarity with rural/farm settings and ability to adapt to remote locations.
