Job Title: Human Resources and Legal Officer (Intern)

Position Overview
- We are seeking a youngmotivated person who will serve as an intern with our Human Resources and Legal team here in Abuja.
- This crucial role will involve managing some HR functions, working with the team to ensurecompliance with legal requirements, and supporting the overall strategic direction of our organization.
- The ideal candidate will have abackground in both human resources and legal frameworks, as well as a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide legal advice and support on employment-related matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
- Assist in conducting employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace best practices.
- Manage employee records and maintain accurate HR documentation.
- Support conflict resolution and mediation efforts within the organization.
- Collaborate with the team and management to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- A Degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
- Relevant years of experience in human resources and legal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
