Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Accountant to manage and optimize our inventory accounting processes.
- The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of inventory records, support operational efficiency, and provide insights that drive effective inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records according to company policies and accounting standards.
- Reconcile inventory balances across systems and physical counts.
- Analyze inventory variances and provide actionable insights to address discrepancies.
- Prepare and report inventory-related journal entries, adjustments, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by ensuring accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for inventory transactions.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to streamline inventory workflows.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and provide recommendations to optimize stock levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in inventory accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and inventory management systems (Odoo)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Experience in performing inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance related to inventory management.
