Job Title: IT Assistant
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities
Continuing Essential Functions:
Technical Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to IT support requests in a timely manner through the ticketing system, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, printers, peripherals, and other hardware devices.
Network Support:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to work spaces such as Google Drive & Teams.
- Set up and configure email accounts, Access Grants for new employees and existing employees.
- Maintain and manage inventory of IT assets, ensuring proper documentation.
Data Backup and Security:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining data backup procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s data security policies and procedures.
- Help in monitoring cybersecurity threats and alerting relevant personnel to risks.
Training and Documentation:
- Provide basic training and guidance to staff on IT systems, software, and best practices.
- Maintain documentation for IT processes, systems, and user manuals.
- Assist in creating and updating IT policies and procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the IT Manager and other team members to provide seamless IT support across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to ensure understanding and resolution of IT issues.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles and configurations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of antivirus software, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary
- N200,000 – N250,000 per month.
