Job Description

  • Strategic leadership to drive and support business growth and revenues, development and deployment of technology for all stakeholders, acceleration of product/service delivery, innovation and implementation of technology solutions at optimized costs.

Role Description

  • Actively contribute to developing the company’s strategy for using technological resources, aligned to business goals
  • Prepare businesses to react, adapt and evolve with resilience and success.
  • Ensure the organization is in an ‘always future-ready technology mode.
  • Strong domain knowledge and business acumen to ensure company’s technologies are used appropriately.
  • Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
  • Prioritize opportunity areas that can be solved given the organizational capacity and feasibility.
  • Create product concepts to achieve the goal of business solutions for our customers.
  • Refine, validate and identify top product concepts using available data.
  • Rapidly test and iterate identified product concept among users.
  • Create prototypes of the successfully tested product concepts.
  • Translate insights into a product strategy from driving consensus internally, design, engineering, operations, forging required partnerships, and developing success metrics.
  • Work with operations subject matter experts and use a broad range of sources to develop innovative functionality.
  • Design processes, workflows, and functional components to improve efficiency.
  • Work with designers, developers (both locally and remotely) and subject matter experts to get project requirements well-scoped, designed and built.
  • Map out talent requirements for the product.
  • Closely cooperate with internal teams such as business operations and sales, and e-channels to launch the product.
  • Establish product delivery timelines in close collaboration with internal teams and keep stakeholders updated on.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, systems, and infrastructure for competitive advantage in the current, dynamic digital finance ecosystem in Nigeria.
  • Manage all technology assets with the right teams to ensure optimum return of investment using the ITIL framework — including availability, quality, performance, capacity management, financial management, change management, risk management, incident and problem management, and license management.
  • Build payments landscape, and upgrade plan /roadmap to support business growth and innovation.

Necessary Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Technical Proficiency

  • Minimum educational qualification: B.Sc. / HND in any related discipline with cognate experience
  • 7+ years of proven experience as a product manager, Developer, IT infrastructure systems engineer or similar leadership role, preferably in the Fintech, Banking, or software development industry.
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy.
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning would be an additional asset.
