Job Title: Key Account Officer

Job Summary
- The Key Account Officer will lead the growth, performance, and expansion distribution network within assigned Territory.
- This includes recruiting and managing retail partners (dealers, agents, shop owners), optimizing point-of-sale performance, and ensuring strong last-mile customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Development:
- Identify, Engage and onboard retail partners, agents, and local distributors in high-potential areas.
- Design and execute channel expansion strategies for urban, peri-urban, and rural regions.
- Map out and segment markets by region, population density, and connectivity level.
Sales Performance & Growth:
- Drive sales targets for channel partners and ensure consistent performance.
Reporting & Insights:
- Maintain accurate records of partner recruitment, sales, and customer feedback.
- Generate regular reports for senior management and recommend actionable insights.
- Use tools like CRM and mobile field apps to manage retail partner relationships.
Partnership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing to support in-store activations, local campaigns, and promotions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in retail/channel sales, preferably in FMCG, telecom, energy, or consumer goods.
- Strong experience in agent networks, last-mile delivery, or informal retail is a big plus.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of Nigeria’s retail landscape and consumer behavior.
- Comfortable with tech tools (CRMs, mobile apps, Google Sheets, basic dashboards).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Luganda or other local languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively across regions.
