1). Maintenance Technician – ASB, PET, IBM & BLOW

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in ASB, PET, IBM, and blow molding processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mold changeover and maintenance, along with comprehensive knowledge of injection stretch blow molding and injection blow molding operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mold changeovers and conduct routine maintenance on molds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate and maintain injection stretch blow molding and injection blow molding machinery.
  • Possess a basic understanding of associated equipment, including chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and dryers.
  • Carry out the operation and calibration of various equipment.
  • Responsible for waste control and implementing waste reduction practices.
  • Install and set up machines and molds according to specifications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems related to machinery.
  • Disassemble and reassemble molds for conducting trials and adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize various measuring instruments for bottle inspection to ensure quality compliance.
  • Conduct test runs of molds to verify that produced parts meet established quality standards.
  • Perform detailed inspections of bottles to confirm adherence to quality specifications.
  • Identify and propose modifications for new or modified jobs to expedite mold performance.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including hydraulic overhead cranes and pallet trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety in the work environment, strictly following SOPs, safety procedures, and organizational regulations.

Qualifications

  • OND / HND in a relevant field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
