1). Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Job Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a proven track record of 15-20 years in the oil and gas industry.
  • The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in structural engineering design and layout within the context of oil and gas projects.
  • This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Structural Design and Analysis:

  • Lead the design and analysis of complex structural systems and components for oil and gas facilities, including equipment foundations, storage tanks, LNG regasification stations, LNG and CNG filling stations and related infrastructure
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and other necessary analyses to ensure structural integrity and stability
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

Layout and Planning:

  • Develop efficient facility layout plans that prioritize safety and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate civil and structural requirements into overall designs

Project Management:

  • Act as the technical lead for civil and structural aspects, guiding junior engineers
  • Manage project milestones, timelines, and deliverables for civil and structural design
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, procurement, construction, and project management teams

Bill of Quantity and Bill of Material:

  • Prepare accurate bill of quantities (BOQ) and bills of materials (BOM) for civil and structural components
  • Ensure precise documentation of required materials and quantities to facilitate procurement

Contractor Technical Engagement:

  • Obtain Technical Submissions from contractors for civil and structural work packages

Progress Monitoring and Approval:

  • Monitor the quantum of work done by contractors and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Review and approve contractor bills based on work completion and quality

Stakeholder Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive project progress reports to stakeholders
  • Communicate updates on civil and structural aspects, highlighting achievements and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 15-20 years of experience in civil and structural engineering within the oil and gas industry
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and industry codes
  • Strong project management skills, including leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams and client interactions
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling software and tools is a must.

2). Manager – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the job

  • Should have experience in the design, installation, execution, supervision, commissioning and O&M of LCNG and LNG storage and regasification system, and power distribution
  • Preventive maintenance planning of all the equipments.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering from a reputed Institute /University.
  • The candidate will be of Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering background with solid track record of managing the projects in design, installation and commissioning of plant and machinery in LNG/LCNG segment.
  • Age – around 35 years
  • Knowledge and experience of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment like UPS, Inverters, PLC, SCADA, HMI, various sensors transmitters, field instruments, measuring instruments used in gas industry etc.
  • Should have experience in E&I domain in LNG, LCNG retail stations for a minimum of 8-10 years.
  • Should have worked in LNG, LCNG for minimum 8-10 years
  • Should have experience of designing power distribution systems, installation of state-of-the-art machinery with E&I.
  • Experience in LNG, LCNG.
  • Knowledge and experience of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment like PLCs, Inverters, UPS, controllers, various sensors transmitters, measuring instruments used in gas industry etc.
  • Knowledge of requirement of safe installation practices followed in gas industry.

3). Cost Engineer

Job Role

  • Provide cost analysis, controls and report activities for Capital and non-Capital projects.
  • Provide input and recommendations for cost engineering requirements relative to staffing, project controls, and preparing and analyzing comparisons of scope, quantities and cost data between the project forecasts and the budgets.
  • Organize, monitor and control project costs and will define project needs for cost control in accordance with contractual requirements, objectives, and Company procedures.
  • Ensure that all project commitments are accurately reported and will maintain updated final project forecasts and expenditure forecasts.
  • Proactively advise management when forecasted costs exceed the approved budget.
  • Use statistical tools to analyze costs metrics and perform risk analysis.
  • Analyze contractors’ cost reports and extract required data for management reporting.
  • Prepare and report cost engineering information on a monthly basis and additional ad-hoc reports as required by Management.
  • Provide all cost engineering expertise and coordinates activities as group/unit leader as required in preparation of cost portion of the engineering, procurement and construction contracts.
  • Collect, monitor, analyze and report all cost information through the Project Manager.
  • Review and analyze all claims and Change Orders on project contracts.
  • Participate in the negotiation of project contracts as required.
  • Initiate appropriate action when total forecast indicates allocated funds will be exceeded.

  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other team members to understand project objectives and constraints
