1). Process Engineer

About the role
- The Process Engineer leads plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.
- Through data analysis, field measurements, and conversations with employees are able to diagnose issues and develop solutions to move the plant towards greater performance.
Responsibilities
- Makes positive contributions to the plant safety activities and initiatives.
- Provides technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions. Understands strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives.
- Conduct inspections, measurements and operational assessment for shop assigned to you.
- Follow-up actions / recommendations from findings with the responsible
- Daily evaluates operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approach, for example RCAs, Incidence assessment & reporting etc.
- Provides technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required. Serves as mentor to CCR Operators in production and other departments.
- Primary to the Process Engineer position is the coordination and participation in improvement of the Plant’s technical capabilities. The Process Engineer’s objectives are to initiate process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment. This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures – communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
- Initiate actions for de-bottlenecking equipment and Processes and engage with stakeholders to close the actions.
- Design and contribute development of new systems, equipment and procedures and propose modifications of existing ones for continuous process improvement. Include economic and operational feasibility studies. Support commissioning and de-bottleneck new installations
- Promote the increased use of AFR (if applicable): provide comprehensive technical expertise to evaluate AFR with respect to its impact on the process; develop and implement solutions to eliminate / reduce impact of AFR on the process operation
- Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of an Integrated management system (IMS) in the plant.

Requirements
- Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering
- 5 years’ working experience with at least 3 years in cement Industry.
- Good knowledge of cement manufacturing Process
- Perform the measurements of a basic process: gas flow measurement, false air mapping etc.
- Organize and perform an audit to any one area of a plant: Equipment/gas / thermal/ material balance of a kiln or a mill based on a pre-established model.
- Audit reporting
- Tune a control loop.
- Understand the strategy of an expert system. (HLC)
- Good knowledge of statistical process control methods.
- Good knowledge of project management methods.
- Strong computer expertise in but not limited to: Excel,
- Good knowledge of SAP, TIS, and PACT.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Qualified with technical qualification (HND, OND, OTHER Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience in Mechanical Maintenance and Breakdown repairs of mechanical equipment with a good HSE knowledge.
- The Use of SAP and MS office packages
- Knowledge of Cement plant equipment technical specifications and maintenance requirements
- Knowledge in workshop Machines eg, Lathes, Shapers, Millers, drilling machines, Band saws.
- Knowledge in precision measurements.
- Very good knowledge on precision machining.
- Basic knowledge of electric motors.
- Readymix and /or aggregate operating processes and quality product issues
- Maintenance procedures and rotating machine safety.
- Technical drawings interpretation and tolerance fits.
- Good working knowledge of OHS&E procedures and relevant legislation

About the Role
- Role holder is reponsible for managing inventory processes, to keep operations running efficiently with minimum working capital.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supervision of stock transfers, issues and returns.
- Stacking of items received from Goods Receiving section into appropriate stock locations in the warehouse(s).
- Supports Warehouse Operator (Physical Inventory) to maintain stock items in good and appropriate condition.
- Supports Warehouse Operator (Physical Inventory) on materials transfer between plants, storage locations and materials
- Managing material issuing processes – Issuing of stock items to users on receipt of duly authorised Maintenance Work Orders. Receiving of stock returns/ticket from users into the warehouse(s) and ensure the system transaction is done.
- Posting of Issues, Returns and Transfers on SAP real-time.
- Supports Warehouse Operator (Stock Strategy) to prepare fast moving stocks for replenishment.
- Supports Warehouse Operator (Stock Strategy) on the re-arrangement of stocks and updating of bin locations file.
- Supports Warehouse Operator (Physical Inventory) to validate discrepancies declared during Cycle Counting (variance sheets).
- Keeps of records of all Issues, Transfers and Returns of Stock Transactions.
- Prepares daily Issue/Transfer/Return reports of items.
