1). Partner, Program Planning and Monitoring

Location: Lagos

The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Lead, Program Monitoring & Planning, the Partner, Program Planning & Monitoring will collate progress, monitor data, and generate insights from implementing Partners of Mastercard Foundation investments.
  • This role involves liaising for insights impacting learning and adaptive management of partner relationships.
  • Responsibilities include supporting program and portfolio planning to align with country/regional strategies and collaborating with the Impact team and the Strategy and Planning function.

Ways You Can Contribute

  • Support the development and monitoring of the implementation of annual country program plans.
  • Contribute to including theory of change and Monitoring, Evaluation & learning (MEL) orientation in new program planning and development.
  • Support monitoring agreed KPIs and developing other indicators for effective and efficient implementation.
  • Contribute to developing indicators, monitoring frameworks, and tools for measuring progress in Foundation-funded investments.
  • Support Partners in developing robust monitoring tools, quality reporting, and routine monitoring, including audits and data verification.
  • Assist Partners and stakeholders in data collection, report writing, and documenting good practices to increase access to dignified work for young women and men.
  • Help streamline M&E systems for Partners and their communities with emerging shifts in Impact strategy and measurement.
  • Coordinate the surfacing of critical insights, especially from young women and men, and manage the documentation.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent; a post-graduate degree is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in M&E functions with development projects and local and national government, focusing on monitoring and supporting Partner organizations in data collection and M&E activities.
  • Experience developing, updating, and delivering training on M&E systems, introducing new methods, and setting up computerized MIS.
  • Proficiency in tech-enabled data collection, analysis, reporting, and communication tools, including online tools and social media for youth-focused narratives.
  • Experience in participatory approaches, gender inclusion, youth engagement, data quality assessments, and beneficiary feedback loops.
  • In-depth knowledge of youth-focused challenges, particularly in work opportunities, tech sector, agriculture, and SMEs.
  • Current knowledge of M&E practices, membership in M&E associations, and a good understanding of gender and gender-transformative programming.
  • Fluency, English and local languages relevant to the Foundation’s operations, such as French for West Africa.
  • Understanding systems thinking and the ability to develop and test theories of change.

2). Consultant, Specialized Services – Talent Aquisition

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months

The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Acting Head, Specialized Services, the Consultant, Specialized Services (Talent Acquisition) will oversee sourcing, selection, and onboarding of new employees into the Foundation.
  • You will manage the talent acquisition function, including full-cycle recruitment activities, effective onboarding of new staff, upholding service level agreements with stakeholders, and timely implementation of talent acquisition initiatives.
  • This role requires intellectual curiosity to understand complex organizational roles.

Ways You Can Contribute

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process for several operational and programmatic areas of the Foundation that span multiple African geographies.
  • Manage a team of talent acquisition professionals in the regions.
  • Maintain an accurate headcount evolution record.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and implement valid innovative selection methods for the different job families in the Foundation.
  • Lead the Foundation’s onboarding, including reviewing and implementing a robust onboarding program and associated processes.
  • Continually evolve the onboarding program to meet the Foundation’s growing needs.
  • Develop effective talent acquisition policies.
  • Develop a candidate pipeline for all key positions.
  • Further leverage effective, modern, and interactive talent acquisition systems.
  • Play a key role in partnering across the business to advise and execute best practices for acquiring talent, including screening, behavioural interviewing, negotiations, and compensation to meet timely recruitment milestones.
  • Work closely with other departments to proactively identify upcoming vacancies and develop recruitment strategies to build talent pipelines.
  • Provide excellent communication with hiring managers, colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders throughout the recruitment and selection process.
  • Engage and collaborate with select agency partners and ensure successful performance; negotiate terms and Master Service Agreement (MSA).
  • Develop and create reporting based on key metrics to measure against hiring goals and milestones.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma and/or a postgraduate Business or Human Resources certificate.
  • 8-10 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, with both agency and corporate experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience, building and managing diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of recruitment legislation and selection practices across Africa.
  • Proven success in direct sourcing talent for niche roles in domestic and international markets.
  • Experience in designing or exposure to best-in-class onboarding programs.
  • Understanding of adult education principles, either through education or experience.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to establish credibility and trust.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of articulating information across cultures.
  • French language and/or local language skills are an asset.
  • Possess professional maturity, cultural sensitivity, and impeccable integrity in line with the Foundation’s values.

3). Manager, Product and Solutions

Location: Lagos

Job Overview

  • Drive Consumer Debit, Credit and Prepaid strategy development and execution for West Africa Cluster
  • Develop end-to-end and launch market relevant products with key focus on process, consumer experience, pricing, go-to-market, sales enablement
  • Deliver vs. GDV, revenue objectives for Consumer Products
  • Grow market share and identify incremental business opportunities

Description of the Role

  • Provide customer and competitive feedback in order to embed them into both cluster and regional product line strategy and product development efforts
  • Be a subject matter expert and help strengthening relationships with key customers. Support account and market development teams during customer meetings by sharing product and business insights, provide RFP response support, translate deal-specific needs into product requirements
  • Identify target customers according to their fit into product strategy
  • Serve a liaison between account team, market development, product and loyalty solutions team in order to understand the gaps in the product proposition; assess and define opportunities to leverage MasterCard assets and platforms in order to enable account teams to deliver higher sales volumes and grow market share
  • Feedback market requirements, identify and share product gaps to the regional and, if needed, global team
  • Have a responsibility for preparing and sharing market MIS (data/insights/performance)
  • Analyse portfolio in the respective division to identify growth opportunities
