1). Merchant Acquisition & Growth Manager
Location: Abuja
Job Summary:
- The Merchant Acquisition and Growth Manager will play a crucial role in expanding Payzeep’s merchant network and driving transaction volume on our platform. This role involves end-to-end management of the merchant lifecycle, from onboarding and activation to retention and growth. You will focus on acquiring high-value merchants, e-commerce businesses, and online merchants, providing them with tailored payment solutions, including POS terminals and web payment integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchant Acquisition:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive merchant acquisition strategy targeting various segments, including high-value merchants, e-commerce businesses, and online retailers.
- Identify and pursue leads through online channels, industry events, referrals, and partnerships.
- Create compelling marketing and sales materials showcasing the benefits of Payzeep’s payment gateway platform.
Onboarding and Activation:
- Design and implement a seamless onboarding process for new merchants, ensuring a positive first experience and rapid activation.
- Guide merchants through the technical integration of Payzeep’s payment solutions, including POS terminal setup and web payment integration.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to merchants on using the platform and its features.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Proactively address merchant queries and concerns, providing timely support and solutions.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Product and Service Adoption:
- Encourage merchants to adopt the full range of Payzeep’s payment solutions, including POS terminals, web payments, mobile payments, and other relevant channels.
- Stay informed about new product developments and proactively introduce them to merchants.
- Analyze merchant transaction data to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
Retention and Growth:
- Implement strategies to maximize merchant retention and minimize churn.
- Develop loyalty programs and incentive schemes to reward active merchants and encourage continued platform usage.
- Monitor merchant satisfaction and gather feedback to improve services and address pain points.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Number of merchants onboarded
- Merchant activation rate
- Transaction volume and value processed through the platform
- Merchant retention rate
- Number of payment channels adopted per merchant
- Customer satisfaction scores
- Revenue generated from merchant services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in merchant acquisition, payment processing, or fintech sales.
- Proven track record of success in acquiring and onboarding merchants.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian payments landscape and e-commerce ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Technical proficiency with payment gateways, POS terminals, and web payment integration.
- Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to track KPIs and make data-informed decisions.

2). E-Hailing & Partnership Manager
Location: Abuja
Job Summary:
- The E-Hailing & Partnership Manager will play a critical role in Payzeep’s mission to dominate the transportation and logistics industry. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of driver engagement, from onboarding and activation to retention and maximizing daily transaction volume. You will build strategic partnerships with ride-hailing apps, transportation associations, and other key stakeholders to drive Payzeep’s growth and brand recognition within the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver Acquisition:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive driver acquisition strategy, including online and offline channels, to onboard 1,000 drivers this year and 10,000+ drivers next year.
- Build and manage relationships with ride-hailing companies, driver associations, and other relevant organizations to generate leads and drive sign-ups.
- Create compelling marketing and communication campaigns targeted at drivers, highlighting the benefits of Payzeep’s platform.
Onboarding and Activation:
- Design and implement a seamless onboarding process for new drivers, ensuring a positive first experience and rapid activation.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to drivers on how to effectively use Payzeep’s platform and services.
Engagement and Retention:
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize driver engagement and retention, with a focus on driving daily transactions (at least 10 per day).
- Monitor driver activity and identify trends to proactively address potential churn and optimize engagement initiatives.
- Implement loyalty programs, incentives, and gamification strategies to reward active drivers and encourage continued platform usage.
Partnership Management:
- Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with key players in the transportation and logistics ecosystem.
- Manage existing partnerships to ensure mutual growth and success.
- Represent Payzeep at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and network with potential partners.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to driver acquisition, activation, retention, and transaction volume.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales on progress toward goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership management, with a focus on the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of success in acquiring, onboarding, and retaining customers/users.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian transportation and logistics landscape, including the e-hailing app market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to track KPIs and make data-informed decisions.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about driving growth.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
