1). Backend Developer (NYSC)

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)

Job Overview

  • We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Backend Developer to join our team.
  • In this role, you will work closely with our developers and product team to build and improve the backend infrastructure of our platform.
  • If you have a solid foundation in programming, a keen interest in backend development, and a desire to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using Python.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues.
  • Work with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to manage data efficiently.
  • Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of the backend infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of Python.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and query optimisation.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Salary
N1,800,000 – N2,400,000 annually.
