Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Regional Infrastructure Engineer to join our friendly team at our Terminal in Lagos, Nigeria.
- As a Regional Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in Implementing change on the environment, without unplanned service interruption and also ensuring optimum health and operation of systems and environments for our terminals in the Africa & Europe region.
Key Responsibilities

2). Health, Safety & Environment Supervisor

Job Summary
- As the Health, Safety, and Environment Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, maintaining safety standards, and promoting a culture of responsibility and sustainability across our operations.
- You’ll have the opportunity to shape safety strategies, implement key initiatives, and make a tangible impact on the health and safety of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work 12-hour shifts (Day/Night).
- Conduct regular safety audits, maintain compliance databases, and ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and environmental regulations related to health, safety, and the environment.
- Administer risk management programs by developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for all tasks.
- Apply problem-solving tools to identify root causes of safety issues and implement effective countermeasures.
- Ensure daily VM boards are updated, with records stored in TEAMS, and close out observations from Leader-Led Gemba & Critical Control Assessments.
- Coordinate safety drills, evaluate responses, and implement improvements.
- Ensure proper induction and safety conformity for all individuals accessing the terminal.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of all safety-related training while maintaining compliance with standards and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Conduct training needs analysis based on operational changes, new systems, or processes, and train and mentor other safety professionals.
- Accurately capture and maintain key elements of the Terminal Performance Report.
- Provide timely incident reporting, investigations, and close out all action items.
- Develop HSE bulletins and maintain up-to-date reporting systems to share insights from incidents.
- Ensure a robust permit-to-work system for high-risk tasks, including reviewing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Design practical safety approaches to integrate safe behaviors into everyday activities for cross-functional teams.
- Track and manage prevalent medical conditions at the site clinic, implementing innovative strategies for improving personnel health.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure a safe and conducive work environment.
- Support the ongoing development of an HSE culture and best practices, maintain 5S standards, oversee the use and maintenance of the HSE van, and provide mentorship to HSE Officers.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and efficiently meet deadlines.
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- A university degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or its equivalent in Environmental Management, Engineering, or any Health and Safety-related field.
- At least six (6) years of experience in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) field, preferably within the oil and gas sector, container industry, or port operations.
- NEBOSH/IOSH certifications and membership in the International Safety Professionals Organization of Nigeria (ISPON).
- Strong knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) along with good analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong investigative skills to lead incident investigations, reporting, and follow-up on action items.
