Job Description
- The Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana is seeking an experienced General Manager of Electrical Engineering to oversee and lead all electrical operations within our cement production facilities.
- This key leadership position will involve managing the electrical maintenance, installation, and improvement of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for Electrical maintenance of LS Crushers, Stacker Reclaimers, Raw-mills ,Coal-mills, Kiln Coolers, Cement Mills ,Utilities ,WTP and Packing plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing maintenance strategies
- Overseeing maintenance of plant equipment and facilities
- Planning and scheduling maintenance operations
- Ensuring adequate spares are available for maintenance
- Creating and implementing measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs
- Planning and overseeing repair and installation activities
- Monitoring inventory equipment and placing orders when necessary
- Managing contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
- Enforcing health and safety rules and regulations
- Developing short- and long-term maintenance programs for All section Equipment’s
- Coordinating all section heads to ensure inspections, assessments, and adjustments
- Evaluating the Persisting Problems and resolve permanently
- Ensuring critical production equipment are in good working condition
- Monitoring maintenance activities for efficiency and safety
- Overseeing technical staff and providing expertise Training as required
- Enforcing accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations
- Trouble Shooting of Electrical equipment, Operation maintenance Challenges.
- Spares and Maintenance Planning for Shutdown Preparation for LS Crushers Stacker Reclaimers, Raw-mills ,Kilns, Coal-mills ,Cement Mills and Packing Plant,33KV Line from Power Plant to Mines .
- Should have Capability to take care of Line 1-5 Electrical Department
- Should have Good Experience in maintenance of Electrical equipment in cement plant.
- Should have good Experience of latest electrical equipment’s such as smart MCCs, PCCs, Motors, switch Gears, Transformers ,all Substations ,Passenger Lifts etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 24 years of experience in electrical management within the cement or related industrial sector, with at least 10 years in a senior management role.
- Working knowledge of estimation software, Microsoft office and SAP.
- The ability to Perform other extra responsibilities assigned.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering systems, including maintenance management and project execution.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety legislation, ISO standards, and environmental regulations is critical.

2). Risk Manager, Anti-Fraud

Position Overview
- The Risk Manager for Anti-Fraud at Dangote Cement Plc will oversee the creation of comprehensive cross-functional anti-fraud risk processes and procedures by implementing effective risk governance and control frameworks.
- This position entails recognizing potential fraud risks, investigating incidents, and offering strategic recommendations to enhance fraud prevention measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess fraud risks: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of fraud within Dangote Cement Plc to achieve fraud risk control.
- Develop fraud prevention strategies: Create and implement strategies to prevent or detect fraud, including policies, procedures, and controls to levels As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Monitor and investigate suspicious activities: Review transactions and investigate suspicious activities to identify potential fraud.
- Liaise with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs): Serve as primary point contract between Dangote Cement and Law Enforcement Agencies, to investigate and/or prosecute fraudulent activities.
- Develop and implement training programs: Provide anti-fraud training to employees on fraud prevention and detection. Ensure compliance with anti-fraud training completion rates.
- Conduct process reviews and testing: Perform process reviews and testing to ensure that fraud controls are effective and operating as intended.
- Report findings and recommendations: Report findings and recommendations to Management senior leadership and Board Audit and Risk Committee.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Anti-fraud regulations and Internal policy standards.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: At least 15 years of direct experience in Fraud Risk Management and Internal Controls within the FMCG sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Master’s degree in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Risk Management, may be preferred.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze data and identify patterns and trends.
- Knowledge of fraud schemes and recovery processes: Familiarity with various types of fraud schemes, including inventory theft, asset misappropriation, billing schemes, supply chain fraud and employee fraud.
- Experience in risk management: Understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including employees, management, and law enforcement.
- Attention to detail: Ability to focus on details and identify potential fraud indicators.
- Strong analytical software skills: Proficiency in using analytical software, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Certification in fraud examination: Possession of a certification in fraud examination, such as the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation etc.
- A proven track record of managing investigations and result oriented recommendations.
