1). Field Sales Manager

Location: Across Nigeria

Job Summary

  • Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to hire Field Sales Managers. They would be responsible for the planning, selling and merchandising of company products in all relevant outlets to achieve approved sales, profit and volume objectives in the assigned territory. They would ensure the training, coaching and management of Distributor Sales Teams in the assigned territory.

A day in the life of a Field Sales Manager

  • Ensuring product availability, visibility and accessibility in priority outlets in assigned sales territory, through the execution of the territory sales plans and merchandising guidelines.
  • Establishing coverage plans and developing route and journey plans for Distributors, ensuring compliance/implementation, in line with field sales plans for the assigned territory.
  • Coaching, motivating and developing the Sales Force by conducting regular field coaching/accompaniment with the various sales roles, to identify their training needs and address them, in conjunction with the Sales Performance Development Manager.
  • Communicating cycle objectives and merchandising priorities to all operational Field Sales Force promptly and managing the relationships between Retailers and Wholesalers.
  • Providing quality and on-time information on demand forecasts by customers, reports on market dynamics, competitor activities, etcetera.
  • Following up on Distributor orders and ensuring timely communication of out-of-stock statistics to Regional Sales Manager(s).
  • Responsible for the execution of BSO objectives and achievement of Picture-of-Success in the territory /Sales Area.
  • Deployment and efficient usage of Optimetriks in achieving Best / Standard /Outlets and visibility superiority in the assigned territory.
  • Coordinating and facilitating the Distributor Operations Review process in assigned territory.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Company principles and policies, WHO Code and Safety guidelines.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma.
  • 2 – 4 years of Field Sales experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Sound and practical knowledge of the Food and Beverage industry, the various Sales functions and core Business Processes.
  • Market Intelligence – Sound knowledge of Distributor channels and retail outlets, as well as best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Integrated Business Planning process.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence people.
  • High level of integrity, good work ethics and self-motivation.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills.
  • Adaptability/flexibility.
  • Good time management and planning/organizational skills.

2). Associate Corporate Counsel

Location: Lagos

Position Summary

  • We are currently looking to fill the role of Associate Corporate Counsel, responsible for legal research and opinion, drafting, review and renewal of contracts and compliance with the applicable laws and regulations by the business.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of the Associate Corporate Counsel:

  • Protect the interest of Nestlé in commercial transactions by preparing and vetting all contracts, documents and correspondence to mitigate the risk exposure of Nestlé and ensure that commercial terms are favourable to Nestlé.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the Company and its Business Units to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Review Bills and regulations applicable to the business and prepare advocacy paper to be used for engagement with the internal and external stakeholders to protect the interest of the business.
  • Collaborate with the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to protect the proprietary rights (intellectual property, brand equity, trademarks) of Nestlé by providing support to and guaranteeing information flow between  the relevant stakeholders (Security, ManCom, Legal Manager, Regulatory and Business Unit) for the investigation of counterfeiting activities.
  • Assist the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to prepare the board and committee papers, keep records, make the relevant returns to the appropriate regulatory agencies and provide support on corporate governance.
  • Review court processes and documents to be filed on behalf of Nestlé, attend court sitting on behalf of Nestlé and maintain a database of all active cases.
  • Conduct inspections and searches on real estate matters and write reports to guide business decision.
  • Liaise with the banks to verify the bank guarantees submitted by distributors and vendors are genuine and update Contract schedule with tracker to trigger renewal discussions with the stakeholders before the renewal date.
  • Coordinate external service providers / internal stakeholders to facilitate successful AGM; custody, collation of annual report and unclaimed dividend mandate with our shareholders and Registrars; raising of Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions for the payment of bills of vendors of Legal department.

Requirments
What Will Make You Successful?

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) and B.L
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN)
  • Sound knowledge of the Nigerian legal system and applicable corporate laws
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate/commercial law and practice
  • Knowledge of general regulatory and compliance best practices
  • Good understanding of data privacy law, intellectual property and commercial litigation
  • Experience in Corporate Governance and Secretaryship
  • Good communication and research skills
  • Must be computer literate

  • Carrying out quality checks (PRPs & OPRPs) as stipulated in the Quality Management System before, during and after operation.
  • Participating in planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Ensuring safety of self, product, workplace and colleagues while also ensuring the control of the impact of these activities on the environment.
  • Maintaining Food Safety awareness and its relevance, in order to ensure strict Compliance in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Engineering and related courses such as: Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of Lower Credit etc. with a minimum of Lower Credit.
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant work experience as Engineering Technician in an FMCG will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) credits including Physics, English Language and Mathematics in WAEC or NECO (Not more than 2 sittings).
