1). Sales Representative

Job Brief

  • Seven-Up Bottling Company is hiring for an experienced sales representative who will help get the right product in the right place, time, quantity, and price.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop sales strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives
  • Analyse sales figures, customers’ reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
  • Collaborate with distributors and sales team to negotiate prices, quantities, and time-scales.
  • Maximise customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
  • Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory
  • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets
  • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs, etc
  • Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipelines and close deals
  • Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND qualification
  • Relevant working experience in sales of Beverage
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Up-to-date with the latest sales trends and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
  • Experience with SFA.

2). Territory Development Manager

Job Summary

  • Seven-Up Bottling Company is currently recruiting for Territory Development Manager who will be accountable for the daily sales execution and management of TDOs /TDEs within assigned territory towards the actualization of the overall sales target.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sustained growth of SBC’s market share in key SKUs within assigned territory.
  • Recognize opportunities to continually increase SBC’s market share through identification of untapped channels and new routes, understanding of customer business drivers, and new product launch.
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to continuously build brand development and maximise brand performance.
  • Identify potential sales risks, opportunities, and misses for the distributor(s), communicate accordingly, and recommend solutions.
  • Responsible for the territory’s sales tracking and numeric distribution to achieve planned objectives.
  • Implement quality & control measures at distributor outlets – FIFO, stock numbers, through the assigned direct report.
  • Organise, guide, and motivate direct reports to achieve sales targets within the agreed profit margins.
  • Submit market trend reports received to the line manager on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct regular fieldwork with the direct report to ensure all agreed sales initiatives are properly executed; provide feedback to the distributor and the sales team for improvement.
  • Partner with product supply team, logistics, and warehouse to ensure product availability.
  • Coach direct reports on selling skills.
  • Encourages direct reports to attend scheduled learning and development programmes.
  • Ability to use mobile sales force automation applications to drive sales and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • BSC/ HND in a Management course or any relevant field.
  • 6yrs+ sales experience in route to market and sales management with a proven track record of sales of beverage.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive modern trade activation strategy aligned with marketing, brand, and key account plans, identifying opportunities based on shopper insights and trends.
  • Create innovative activation concepts with clear objectives, KPIs, and budgets to drive trial, awareness, and sales, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of modern trade activations, managing planning, approvals, logistics, and in-store implementation to ensure high quality and timeliness.

Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree / HND in any related course.
  • 4 years experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, or key account management within the FMCG industry, with a significant focus on the modern trade channel in Nigeria.
