1). Hydraulic Specialist (Cement Industry)

Location: Kogi

JOB PURPOSE

  • A Hydraulic Specialist is responsible for Operation, Maintenance, Trouble Shooting of hydraulic systems for FLS Coolers, IKN Coolers, Loesche VRM and OK Mills. They utilize their expertise in fluid mechanics, physics, and engineering principles to analyse and develop sustainable solutions for bulk material handling equipments (Stacker and Reclaimer), kilns clinker Cooler hydraulic systems. This role plays a crucial part in the planning and implementation of various hydraulic engineering projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability. Exposure of Cement Plant Equipment Stacker Reclaimers, Rawmills, Kilns Coolers and Cement mill General Maintenance..

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operation and Maintenance ,Trouble shooting of  hydraulic system Problemss, including, Stacker luffing/hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hose, directional control valves and proportionate valve,Cooler Hydraulic Drives ,VRM Hydraulic System.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, including trouble shooting and assessments, to determine the viability and potential impacts of hydraulic faults.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop comprehensive hydraulic designs and engineering plans in ensuring equipment reliability and optimization.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential risks and hazards associated with hydraulic systems, and implementing appropriate safety measures.
  • Performing hydraulic calculations, simulations, and modelling to predict the behaviour and performance of equipment’s.
  • Overseeing the construction and installation of hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Conducting inspections and assessments of existing hydraulic infrastructure, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and providing recommendations.
  • Conducting research and staying updated on the latest advancements in hydraulic engineering technologies and methodologies.
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure plant success.
  • Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical  Engineering,with Hydraulics Training /Hydraulics Special Course  or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
  • Above  15 years of experience in cement plant hydraulics Operation ,maintenance and Trouble Shooting.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in the design and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of study of Hydraulic Circuits /hydraulic Notations and Symbols relevant software and tools used in hydraulic engineering, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft office and SAP Module.
  • Strong mathematical and computational skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment processes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

2). Senior Financial Analyst – Abuja

Location: Abuja

Description

  • The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis of the Backward Integration Program (BIP) for a sugar refinery. The role involves evaluating financial data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting decision-making processes to ensure the program achieves its financial objectives. This position requires expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, and industry-specific research to guide strategic decisions and optimize financial performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models for the BIP to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
  • Automate financial data analysis tools to keep the financial data up-to-date and accurate.
  • Analyse historical and current financial data to assess the BIP’s financial health and identify trends. Ensure alignment with the Group’s financial objectives.
  • Continuously assess capital and operational expenditures, identifying areas for cost optimization. Develop predictive financial models to support management in making informed decisions.
  • Establish benchmarks and KPIs to monitor the financial performance of the BIP. Track financial data against these benchmarks and alert stakeholders to any significant deviations.
  • Study industry-specific trends and utilize available research data to predict market movements.
  • Provide written reports and presentations to guide management’s strategic decision-making.
  • Create comprehensive financial reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommend strategies for meeting business goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and management, to provide financial insights and guidance on project developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis and modelling, preferably within the sugar industry or other agribusiness sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.

3). Engineer, HEMM Maintenance

Job Summary

  • Responsible for ensuring that the heavy type of equipment is in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs. Accountable for planning & execution of day-to-day maintenance activities of heavy mobile mining types of machinery like excavators, loaders, dozers, rock breakers, dumpers, etc. of different make (CAT, Komatsu, Doosan, Liebherr, Terex, and other models)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading an engine overhauling technicians & supervisor team.
  • Experienced in independent overhauling of e excavators, loaders, dozers, rock breakers, dumpers engines.
  • Expert in diagnosing the engine operational faults and rectification.
  • Handling the overhauling and repair of approximately 100 engines.
  • Expertise in SAP PM functionalities like master data creation, preventive maintenance strategy, functional location, task list, maintenance plan, item measuring counters & documents.
  • Rebuilding of major components of engines.
  • Remove and install, disassembled, and assemble engines.
  • Performance test and make the necessary adjustment to the engine components.
  • Diagnose and correct the cause of malfunctioning or complaints on engines and their components.
  • Preparing the parts requirement for overhauling engines.
  • Forecasting the parts requirement.
  • Knowledge transfer to technicians and supervisors.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 12 to 15 years in Overhauling of Komatsu, CAT, Doosan,Cummis, scaniam Detroit, Liebherr etc, engine overhauling and spare part planning for overhauling of engines
