What Will your Main Responsibilities be
- CMI Growth Partners are BG/brand/strategic priority experts who lead the function regionally within the respective BG, with a seat at the LT table, and a responsibility to lead the CMI BG agenda.
- This role is an integrated role with a focus on BWPC EWA as well as a BG-agnostic CMI leadership role for EWA partnering the EWA GM (priority markets being Nigeria, Ethiopia & Kenya). However, all CMI roles are expected to flow-to-value, and so there may be times you step beyond this scope (only with approval from CMI Head).
- The goals & workplan will be aligned to BWPC EWA and the EWA business.
- The role will sit on respective LTs for BWPC in EWA and the EWA LT, and there may also be operational LTs that you will be part of (e.g. quarterly S&OP).
BWPC EWA responsibilities:
- Partner BWPC marketing & CD on Power Brands & 1UL strategic priorities in BWPC EWA.
- Identify growth opportunities & drive these into the business, using a variety of data sources – continuous market data (e.g. Nielsen, Scan, Panel, Brand Health etc.), primary & secondary research, custom ad hoc research, pricing analytics, NRM L0-L3 etc. (supported by CMI CD & Perform specialists)
- Strategic partners for the future (e.g. vision, strategic, portfolio choices) – lead strategic research : e.g. L&R, Growth drivers, Pain points, Segmentation, White space, M&A, Competitor Reviews, Demand Spaces etc.
- Advise and challenge the business on innovation strategy creation and execution, as well as on innovation choices, M&A and investment decisions.
- Deliver mix development research (supported by CMI Brand Building specialists)
- Category deep dives of opportunity and performance, Market & category development, 6P & UBS analysis support and diagnostic deep dives.
- Work closely with CMI Head and other CMI members in the MCO/BG to land insights and growth opportunities.
EWA CMI Lead responsibilities:
- Partners EWA GM & CD Heads to identify pan-BG / pan-brand growth opportunities (e.g. at channel/retailer level)
- Trade-facing – leverages performance data, shopping insights and channel insights to strengthen strategic trade partnerships
- Lead continuous data tracking strategy & implementation, ensuring local team has the right data to power the business. Includes supporting CMI Head to lead local agency partnerships.
- Note: there will be no basic reporting or L1/L2 data pull requests in this role. All reports should be automated and access to these reports democratized.

- 6+ years of experience in CMI, CD, Brand

Job Purpose
- The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving consumer demand and achieving exceptional achievement of business objectives for the Oral Care – CloseUp Power Brand in Nigeria.
- This role involves translating business strategy into actionable marketing plans, working with the CSP Teams, and championing a digital-first, social-first approach to brand building and consumer engagement.
- Drive Innovation to achieve ambitious business objective, delivering multi-year brand growth, penetration, brand power KPIs and business model.
What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be
- Translate the 1UL AML / BWPC BG strategic vision into comprehensive CloseUp Marketing Plans specifically tailored for the Nigerian consumer, acting as the guardian of these plans and ensuring their effective implementation.
- Oversee all marketing activities for the CloseUp brand in the market, comprising advertising campaigns, consumer engagement initiatives, direct-to-consumer strategies, and the execution of global brand innovations.
- Collaborate with Demand Creation Lead and relevant agencies to develop impactful brand assets, create compelling content and amplify brand messaging across digital and retail platforms in Nigeria.
- Drive all marketing activities focused on (digital) Consumer Demand Creation, in partnership with the in-market DMC team, including brand activation, consumer insights generation, data analytics, content development, strategic partnerships, and the planning and execution of in-market experiential events across all Power Brands in the market.
- Lead the Digital Marketing agenda, developing and implementing strategies to plan and deliver seamless, engaging digital consumer experiences and campaigns.
