Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc is Nigeria's largest and most profitable non-aligned primary mortgage bank. Abbey is one of seven National Primary Mortgage Banks (PMBs) authorised by the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). The latest recapitalization exercise reduced the number of mortgage banks from 105 to only 34, which are presently surviving. We not only emerged successfully capitalised, but we were also one of the few that satisfied both our national and public liability obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory on Mortgage. Land use and other related matters
- Laising With Board of Directors convening and servicang annual general meetings
- Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. mergers 8 acquisitions financiavsecurities offerings compliance issueS transactions agreement lawsuits patents)
- Structure. draft arri review reports and other documents relating to mortgages etc
- Represent cornpany in legal proceedings (administrative boards court trials etc.)
- Draft and administer all real estate and nonnal estate related contracts
Requirernents
- 2nd Class Upper Degree in Law
- 4-5 years post bar experience
- Very Sound knowledge and understanding of Mortgage laws
- LLM and ICSAN certification is an added advantage.
