Job Title: Loan Collection Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collection Officer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts from clients and customers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments in line with the company’s credit policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact debtors via phone calls, emails, and official letters to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all collection activities in the system.
- Prepare periodic reports on collection status and outstanding receivables.
- Escalate unresolved cases to management or legal department when necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in debt recovery, credit control, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
