Job Summary
- We are on an evolutionary journey where we’re changing our story. We are looking to hire an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our diverse team in our Company.
- This role you will be responsible for the planning of assets and material movement across different project sites and locations
As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for
- Ensuring documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carriers, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner.
- Preparing budget for operations inclusive of logistics contingency plans.
- Ensuring effective execution of logistic plans.
- Managing logistics operations including material and personnel
- Coordinate logistics activities with procurement, finance, PMTs and other substantive units.
- Preparing reports on personnel and material movements and other operational logistics issues
- Participating in technical survey missions for new projects and pre-deployment verification visits to sites/locations
- Identifying, planning and managing special logistics operations.
- Ensuring effective material/diesel usage and generate appropriate receipts
- Guiding and coaching team members
- Coordinating/attending toolbox and HSE meetings.
- Performing any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND in a related field
- 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, Inventory / Warehouse / Logistics Management for a drilling contractor.
- Strong personal initiative and willingness to accept responsibilities
- Excellent grasp of logistics operations and practices.
- Organization and coordination skills
- Teaming & Interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills – Excel & MS Word
- Communication skills
- Stock taking and inventory management skills
