Job Title: Merchandiser/Van Sales Representative

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Merchandiser / Van Sales Representative is responsible for driving direct sales to retail outlets while ensuring our products are well-displayed and available.
  • This role combines on-the-ground merchandising with sales expertise, making it crucial for maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities
Direct Sales:

  • Engage with retailers to present product benefits and close sales.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to foster repeat business.

Merchandising:

  • Set up and maintain attractive product displays according to brand standards.
  • Ensure product placement and planogram compliance in retail outlets.

Inventory & Logistics:

  • Merchandisers Monitor and report on product stock levels, coordinating timely replenishment.
  • Plan efficient travel routes across assigned territories.
  • Ensure the company van is clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked.

Reporting & Feedback:

  • Track sales performance and report progress to management.
  • Gather market insights, customer feedback, and competitor information.

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Minimum secondary school education; diploma or degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, merchandising, or similar roles, with prior van sales experience being an advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a keen focus on achieving targets.
  • Proficient with basic mobile phone applications
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory is required.
  • The role will involve lifting and handling merchandise.
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate store visit schedules and market dynamics.

Benefits

  • Salary: N300,000 – N600,000 per month.
