We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Miller

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Job Purpose

  • To ensure the timely and efficient production of flour within the mill facilities while optimizing processing efficiencies and adhering to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the entire milling process, from receipt of raw materials, and perform basic equipment maintenance/troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mill.
  • Assist Chief Miller in maximizing milling efficiencies in the plant daily by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
  • Enforce Health & Safety regulations.
  • Implement on-the-job training for milling staff to enhance milling skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, production, and shift reports as well as mill and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure good hygiene and housekeeping practices within the production environment.
  • Minimize unplanned production downtime.

Requirements

  • First Degree in Engineering or Science/Intermediate & Final NABIM.
  • At least 3 years of cognate experience in a similar role.
  • Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • PGD in Milling Technology & Quality Control will be an added advantage.
