We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Miller
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Job Purpose
- To ensure the timely and efficient production of flour within the mill facilities while optimizing processing efficiencies and adhering to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entire milling process, from receipt of raw materials, and perform basic equipment maintenance/troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mill.
- Assist Chief Miller in maximizing milling efficiencies in the plant daily by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
- Enforce Health & Safety regulations.
- Implement on-the-job training for milling staff to enhance milling skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation, production, and shift reports as well as mill and maintenance issues.
- Ensure good hygiene and housekeeping practices within the production environment.
- Minimize unplanned production downtime.
Requirements
- First Degree in Engineering or Science/Intermediate & Final NABIM.
- At least 3 years of cognate experience in a similar role.
- Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- PGD in Milling Technology & Quality Control will be an added advantage.
