Job Summary
- We are seeking a diligent and motivated NYSC Associate with at least 2 years of active post-call experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support senior lawyers in legal research, drafting, litigation, corporate practice, and regulatory compliance.
- This role offers a unique opportunity for young legal professionals to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Research & Documentation:
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on various aspects of law.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Maintain and organize case files, legal records, and court processes.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
- Support senior lawyers in preparing for court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
- Attend court sessions, file legal documents, and liaise with court registrars.
- Assist in drafting court processes, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
Corporate & Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in company secretarial duties, regulatory filings, and compliance matters.
- Support in preparing board resolutions, minutes, and statutory filings.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, government institutions, and clients on compliance matters.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Assist in client interviews, case preparation, and legal advisory services.
- Provide timely updates to clients on legal matters and proceedings.
- Support business development initiatives by contributing to legal insights and research.
Qualifications & Experience
- LL.B (Hons) from a recognized university and B.L from the Nigerian Law School.
- Minimum of 2 years of active post-call experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under supervision and deliver tasks efficiently.
- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is mandatory.
