Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NYSC Intern with an accounting background to support our finance and administrative operations.
- The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting tasks, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process daily financial transactions
- Assist in the preparation of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
- Support bank reconciliation and petty cash management
- Help maintain accurate ledgers and filing systems
- Assist with payroll calculations and staff payment records
- Support the finance team during audits and financial reporting periods
- Track and document expenditures for internal reporting
- Liaise with vendors regarding payment confirmations and reconciliations
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently serving NYSC member with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho books)
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
