Job Title: NYSC Intern—Accounting Background

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NYSC Intern with an accounting background to support our finance and administrative operations.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting tasks, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and process daily financial transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
  • Support bank reconciliation and petty cash management
  • Help maintain accurate ledgers and filing systems
  • Assist with payroll calculations and staff payment records
  • Support the finance team during audits and financial reporting periods
  • Track and document expenditures for internal reporting
  • Liaise with vendors regarding payment confirmations and reconciliations
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Currently serving NYSC member with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho books)
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
