Job Title: Office Assistant/Cleaner

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support, organizational efficiency, and seamless coordination within the workplace.
  • Also aims to enhance operational effectiveness by managing day-to-day tasks, facilitating communication, and ensuring a well-organized and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain office supplies, ensuring availability and ordering as needed.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces such as desks, tables, toilets, the kitchen, and other areas within the premises.
  • Ensure cleanliness and stock supplies in restrooms.
  • Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
  • Manage waste bins and replace liners as needed.
  • Perform floor care tasks, including polishing, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Address spills and stains promptly.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors as necessary.
  • Maintain a streak-free and clear appearance.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Inform supervisors of any maintenance or supply needs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning methods and chemicals.
  • Report any safety hazards or issues to supervisors.
  • Communicate with colleagues and supervisors regarding cleaning priorities.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Run official assignments
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Line Manager

Requirements

  • OND, SSCE or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment.
