1). Social Media Manager

Location: Lagos

Summary:

  • As a Social Media Manager, you would be tasked with designing and implementing social media strategies to align with business goals. You will also be expected to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Create content, including text posts, videos, and images for use on social media
  • Promoting products, services, and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with our company’s brand and social media strategy
  • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads
  • Monitor, track, analyze, and report performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Audience Insights
  • Meet with clients and other stakeholders (such as social media influencers). These meetings may involve pitching potential marketing campaigns.
  • Research and evaluate the latest tools and techniques to find new and better ways of executing strategies and measuring social media activity
  • Manage and track budget and expenditures
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all communications channels
  • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies
  • Build long-term relationships with employees, clients, and stakeholders

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Research, Data analysis, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management, PR, research, and data analysis.
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc. and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Experience in Public Speaking and ability to represent the brand.
  • Experience in event planning and management is desirable.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Ambitious self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Socially conscious and interested in contributing to the development of the country.

2). Content Creator/Writer

Location: Lagos

Summary:

  • As Content Creator/Writer, you will be responsible for developing a content strategy for the company and our clients. You are also responsible for creating all print and digital content for articles, publications, newsletters, social media, television, film, website, and all other writing created for business purposes.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics to develop original content.

  • Write weekly thought leadership articles.
  • Uncover newsworthy stories.
  • Stay up to date with local, national, and international affairs.
  • Develop content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, newspaper, videos, and social media for the company and clients.
  • Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics and ideas.
  • Publish monthly newsletter, track website traffic, and user engagement.
  • Identify clients’ needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company’s current content.
  • Support the Marketing Team in developing content for plans, campaigns, events, exhibitions and workshops.
  • Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Edit and polish existing content to improve readability.
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines.
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarize with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and content.
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with the other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, English, Journalism, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Content Development & Management
  • Proven writing experience with a portfolio of published Marketing articles
  • Proven knowledge of SEO, WordPress Administration, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Proven ability to setup and use Google Analytics profiles
  • Working knowledge of content management systems
  • Multitasking and organizational skills
  • Copywriting skills Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
