Job Title: Risk Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
- The Risk Officer will support the risk management team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the firm’s operations and financial performance.
- This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing support on risk-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and analyze risk exposure across the firm’s portfolio.
- Support the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management.
- Prepare and maintain risk reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to support a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting risk management.
- Provide administrative support to the risk management team.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance risk management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in risk management or a related field, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
- Basic knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
