Job Title: Risk Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • The Risk Officer will support the risk management team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the firm’s operations and financial performance.
  • This role involves assisting with the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing support on risk-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze risk exposure across the firm’s portfolio.
  • Support the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management.
  • Prepare and maintain risk reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support a comprehensive approach to risk management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting risk management.
  • Provide administrative support to the risk management team.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance risk management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in risk management or a related field, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Basic knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
