Job Title: Sales Officer

Job Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is persuasive, energetic and results-driven Sales Officer with excellent communication and strategy development skills to help create new business opportunities and increase brand awareness for a Microfinance Institution.
- The individual in this role would be responsible for calling prospective customers, explaining our product, and guiding them through their purchase process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to improve sales, both individually and as part of a team
- Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers
- Source and work customer referrals
- Inform leads and customers of current promotions and discounts
- Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
- Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review
- Develop and oversee marketing campaigns to promote products and services.
- Work closely with other employees in areas such as advertising, market research, production, sales and distribution.
- Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences
- Implementing promotional activities, and building long-lasting relationships with customers.
Minimum Qualifications and Required Experience
- National Diploma or fresh graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 0 – 2 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the financial industry.
- Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation
- Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude
- Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and develop new marketing opportunities
- Understanding of marketing analytics tools and metrics for measuring the effectiveness of campaigns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to create and deliver client presentations, especially power points and/or white papers.
