Job Title: Sales Officer

Location: Oshodi, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is persuasive, energetic and results-driven Sales Officer with excellent communication and strategy development skills to help create new business opportunities and increase brand awareness for a Microfinance Institution.
  • The individual in this role would be responsible for calling prospective customers, explaining our product, and guiding them through their purchase process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to improve sales, both individually and as part of a team
  • Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers
  • Source and work customer referrals
  • Inform leads and customers of current promotions and discounts
  • Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
  • Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review
  • Develop and oversee marketing campaigns to promote products and services.
  • Work closely with other employees in areas such as advertising, market research, production, sales and distribution.
  • Conducting research and analyzing data to identify and define audiences
  • Implementing promotional activities, and building long-lasting relationships with customers.

Minimum Qualifications and Required Experience

  • National Diploma or fresh graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation
  • Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and develop new marketing opportunities
  • Understanding of marketing analytics tools and metrics for measuring the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to create and deliver client presentations, especially power points and/or white papers.
