The West African College of Surgeons is a professional organisation in Africa that promotes surgical education, training, exams, and research. The college is the region’s first organisation to arrange surgical subspecialty training. The College was established by decision in January 1975 as a component College of the West African Postgraduate Medical College (WAPMC), a specialised agency of the West African Health Community.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities
• Minimum of six (6) years cognate experience
• Must be computer literate
• Should have excellent communication skills
• Should not be above 35 years of age
