About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Officer to oversee and manage IT support functions within our clinic. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, supporting healthcare professionals with technology solutions, and maintaining high standards of IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide first-line and second-line IT support to end-users, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain, update, and upgrade IT systems, ensuring optimal performance.

Infrastructure & Network Management:

  • Oversee the clinic’s IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
  • Ensure data security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are in place and effective.
  • Manage network configurations, firewalls, and security protocols to prevent breaches.

Software & Applications Management:

  • Administer and support healthcare applications, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and billing systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration between various clinical and administrative IT systems.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to manage software updates and licensing.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

  • Implement and monitor IT security policies to safeguard patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and recommend security enhancements.

User Training & Support:

  • Provide IT training to staff on new systems, best practices, and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Develop user manuals and documentation for common IT processes.

IT Project Management:

  • Lead and execute IT-related projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement innovative IT solutions to improve efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT support or IT administration, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, system administration, and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems such as EMRs, PACS, and HIS.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to manage IT projects and liaise with third-party vendors.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
