  • We support Social Workers with excellent training and development opportunities through local partnerships and nationally funded education programmes as well as role-specific commissioned learning courses. We have supported NQSWs to complete their ASYE; non-registered social care staff have achieved a social work degree via an apprenticeship programme whilst being employed with us; and we have social workers who have trained as Best Interests Assessors and also Practice Educators who share their knowledge and experience with a new generation of social workers. We are proud to recognise that many of our senior management team have developed their practice and progressed through their career within Adult Social Care at Wirral Council.
  • Wirral are using the 3 Conversations model (3C’s) across all Adult Social Care teams. The ethos of the model is to identify individual’s strengths and aspirations to maximise their independence and wellbeing.   • Wallasey Adult Social Care Community Team – Whilst working with us you will be completing strengths-based Care Act assessments and person-centred support planning with a wide variety of service user groups aged 18 and over.
  • The work is diverse, and the aim is to promote the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs to continuously improve their outcomes, creating lasting connections with their local community.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Relevant social work qualification
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Driving licence and access to a car for work purposes

Appointment to the posts will be subject to successful interview, references, DBS clearance and an Occupational Health check.
