We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Specialist, Regional Logistics

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment type: Full-Time (Permanent)

Job Purpose

  • Ensure all sites across assigned region receive full allocation of diesel quantities required to sustain network availability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Operations:

  • Provide relevant data to the Procurement team to facilitate commercial planning for the diesel supply cycle.
  • Schedule diesel supplies based on predetermined allocation and supply vendors assigned by Procurement.
  • Track and validate diesel supplies in concert with the regional field operations teams.
  • Collate delivery waybills and evaluate discrepancies in planned vs actual deliveries.
  • Support regional operations in ascertaining critical diesel levels at sites to avert general diesel outages.
  • Work closely with local authorities to identify diesel availability and/ or haulage challenges. Take appropriate steps to prevent shortages that may affect network availability.
  • Support regional operations teams in cases where diesel supply intervention is required due to vendor-side failures.
  • Generate reports on diesel supply performance and discrepancies as inputs to management decision-making.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure deliverables are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Proactively identify early warning signs of diesel shortages and haulage challenges in order to prevent incidences of diesel unavailability across sites.

General Duties:

  • Promote communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that may arise.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Senior Specialist, O&M Support on all matters pertaining to job area.
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Specialist, O&M Support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline with +5 years’ relevant work experience.
