Job Summary

  • The Nigerian Exchange needs a consummate professional with a strong personality, good relationship management and client retention skill, with an ability to win new businesses and expand on our existing client footprint.
  • The individual will be required to possess a thorough understanding of NGX’s overall mission and data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Grow NGX’s client base through prospecting, relationship management, referrals, cross-selling etc;
  • Leverage market, product and technical expertise to identify client needs;
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business needs, then build consensus and strategies to deliver on those needs;
  • Provide detailed feedback to the product development teams to promote continuous improvement in order to anticipate client’s future needs;
  • Establish and execute a pipeline target market strategy for achieving sales targets through the appropriate stages of the sales cycle;
  • Balance engagements across the sales lifecycle to maintain desired pipeline levels for long, medium, and short-term sales;
  • Leverage product knowledge to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps and recommend improvements;
  • Any other duties may be assigned.

Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc. / HND in a related field;
  • Must have 6-8 years’ industry experience with a top-tier Capital Market or Financial Industry Operator;
  • Strong understanding of Financial Markets and NGX market data industry;
  • Demonstrable proficiency in selling financial products or services;
  • Familiarity with real-time Market Data feeds and Market Data distribution platforms;
  • Exceptional marketing skills;
  • High business acumen and excellent relationship management;
  • Deep knowledge of Market Data analysis;
  • Strong multitasking skills.
