Job Title: Team Lead, Other Assets Products

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving performance across Community Banking Unit segments (Schools, Local Government Councils, Religious Bodies, Embassies, NGOs) to ensure that product targets are met.
  • Maintain the bank’s leadership position/market share by ensuring that FirstBank attains and retains leadership in the Community Banking segments space.
  • Research competitor product offerings and make appropriate recommendations for improvement to ensure that the CBU product offerings maintain their competitive advantage.
  • Identify market opportunities and launch additional Retail Asset Products.
  • Generate ideas for the development of new retail asset products / improvement of existing products
  • Work with the BUs for liability generation for the managed segments
  • Contribute to strategies for the creation of Retail Asset Loans to grow the bank’s total Retail Business Portfolio
  • Contribute to strategies to increase CBU segments relationships in the Bank and generate Revenue.
  • Ensure that assigned retail asset (new & existing) meets and conforms with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with M&CC, Retail & Commercial SBU’s and other stakeholders to ensure that the managed CBU segment products are highly visible in the market.
  • Develop & implement strategies for the effective monitoring/tracking of managed CBU Asset Products.
  • Develop & implement strategies that will ensure that all Retail LAD is of good quality
  • Intelligence/Information gathering on product(s) being managed.
  • Conduct trainings by making presentations at various SBUs monthly/quarterly performance review sessions and organized training sessions.
  • Attend joint marketing calls/Marketing storms with relevant BUs to provide adequate product and marketing support.
  • Develop promotional materials for assigned products and events to support the marketing of products by the customer facing SBUs.
  • Develop and send out regular product tips/flyers on assigned products to improve product knowledge and aid overall product performance.
  • Work with RMs/BMs to ensure effective and coordinated sales of assigned CBU segment products bank wide.
  • Ensure that the NPLs (if any) of the assigned CBU asset products are within tolerance level (currently 5% of the total products portfolio).
  • Grow the profitability of assigned CBU product segments.
  • Implement strategies to maintain the bank’s leadership position/market share in cheap current account deposits.
  • Hold customer engagement for the CBU segments when required.
  • Prioritize customer acquisition by sweating the CBU segments.
  • Carry out periodic (monthly, quarterly & annual) product reviews to tracks assigned products performance across the SBUs in the bank and across the industry
  • Attend User’s Acceptance Test (UAT) sessions and ensure that test results conform with approved products terms and conditions.
  • Ensure that assigned new products are launched within approved time frame
  • Manage assigned CBU asset & liability products life cycle, from inception to launch, to evaluation/refinement and make necessary recommendations
  • Conduct product/Financial planning knowledge training for the bank’s workforce/ customers.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Community Banking Unit.
  • As part of the Bank’s Information Security requirements, maintain the security of all Information entrusted to the staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook.
  • Prepare proposals and presentation slides for the BUs to engage CBU customer segments
  • Prepare and forwards prospects list as marketing Leads to BUs for their use
  • Prepare and review product papers.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a First Degree.
  • Higher degrees/MBAs/professional certifications are compulsory

Experience:

  • Minimum experience—relevant experience
